As we read, there is a tracked excavator digging 10 feet of snow off the railway line that follows the Llanberis path to Snowdon summit. Difficult then to imagine the blistering heat often experienced on Ras Yr Wyddfa in July. It may seem far-off now, but there are less than 100 entries left for the 2009 race.
