"Gongs flow in for Eryri at Manx Monster"
In one of the classic long fell races of the UK, Eryri managed to snatch a number of prize gongs. Ultra man Iain Ridgway ran excellently in his first MMM to finish 2nd out of a field of 93 runners in a colossal time of 5hrs 18mins and 23 secs, a mere 5 minutes off 7 time race winner Paul Thompson of CLeMoors. Next Eryri runner home and 1st lady was Manx based Jackie Lee in a time of 5.57.40 and 9th overall, she was closely followed by Noel Craine (recently back from his Lanzarote intensive winter training camp) in 13th and a time of 6.05.11, not far behind was Craine's partner Ali Thomas in 44th but 7th lady and 3rd vet 40 lady in a time of 7.25.01. This set of solid performances ensured Eryri took the 1st team prize - congrats and well done to all!!
