W/e 'local' fell running, 5/6 September ...

Sat 5 Sept, Peris Horseshoe, AL 17.5 miles/8500 feet, M: 3.02, F: 3.28, 11am. Half Peris, AM 8.8miles/4500feet, M: 1.53, F: 2.18, 10.30am. Pre-entry £5/£4 or EOD £6/£5 (incl. soup, roll, mug). Victoria Hotel, Llanberis. (Organiser Mike Blake ).

Sun 6 Sept, Source of the Severn, 9.2 miles / 1300 feet, Hafren Forest, see WFRA below.

There's an update about Becki's successful Charity Welsh Perimeter 800-mile Ride on the Eryri blog, below. You can hand-in sponsorship money at the Peris registration desk this Saturday (it would help if you put it in an envelope with 'Welsh Perimeter Ride' & your name on - thank you).

Always bring: bumbag, map, compass, whistle, wind/waterproof top & trousers, hat & gloves, suncream ... E&OE, please make your own checks before travelling.

Weekend weather, Snowdonia Mountain Forecast
Saturday: Cloudy at first with patchy light rain or drizzle and hill fog. Becoming dry and brighter during the morning with the cloud lifting and breaking. Winds west or northwesterly 20 to 25 mph with gusts 35 to 40 mph.
Sunday: Dry but also rather cloudy. Risk of some patchy hill fog at first, particualarly in the west. Becoming increasingly windy during the afternoon, with rain and hill fog arriving by the evening. The wind increasing to a strong southerly with a risk of gales on high ground.
