Advance notice of the next race in the Great Arete senior and Caernarfon Tyres junior series which takes place on Foel Lus tomorrow night. The race starts in the village of Capelulo near Penmaemmawr and is measured at 3miles with 1200ft of climbing and is a good mix of fast track and narrow path running with a good steep ascent to the summit of Foel Lus with spectacular views down along the coast, followed by a short descent and contouring along the old roman road before descending back down to Capeulo.
Last years winners were Rob Greenwood in 24.03 and Becky Law in 27.33 the fastest ladies time in the last few years, whilst the fastest time since 2005 was set in 2008 by GB international Nick Swinburn in 21.50.
Race starts at 1915 and remember to turn up earlier than usual due to requirement to sign entry.
